Kevin Kane is a figurative artist who works using multiple media. With a scientific background, Kane brings a fresh analytical almost forensic approach to the art world with his work. Creating work that merges the intersection between the analytical and the creative to understand the makeup of his subjects and combine this with various creative approaches.  

Kane enjoys this juxtaposition between the traditional and the contemporary, influenced by the art of Chuck Close, Lucien Freud, Stanley Spencer and David Hockney. His passion is in portraiture and depicting an often subtle almost hidden narrative. 

Kane's works traverse the use of both traditional materials and techniques such as paint and canvas; towards the digital, working with an iPad with limitless possibilities and exploring programming using statistical software to create art. 

Kane is currently pursuing a degree in Contemporary Portraiture at London’s Art Academy
