Kevin Anaafi-Brown is a British-Ghanaian analogue photographer based in London. Despite always having an interest in photography, Kevin only picked up the practice in earnest during lockdown after finding himself with lots of time. He focuses on analogue photography as it’s a process and medium he finds incredibly gratifying and finds the medium is able to capture nuances in the language of photography which is difficult to recreate in other formats. Kevin aims to capture a broad range of subjects in my work, but of course, being largely informed by his own experiences, his work most often traces subject lines of blackness, queerness and gender and tries to expand on their traditional definitions. He was most recently featured in Artiq’s ‘Queer Frontiers’ exhibition, and some of his work has been featured in Vogue Italia, Another Magazine and Cap74024
